An Apsara frolicking in the meadows
Aphrodite rising from the ocean’s foam
Fur-clad Freya resplendent in icy snows
Astarte hunting where the scorpions roam

Nature fits around you so
Like a frame surrounds great art
Like the moon is girdled by a glow
Like the body encases the heart

This world would be a sadder place
If your smile did not exist
If this earth was bereft of your grace
If your wit and beauty was missed

And, most of all, what would my life be
Without the light of your presence on me?
